It is in the heart of Poggio di Venaco that Nicole and Jacques welcomes you in the inn ” Casa Mathea “, offering to the guests the possibility of living at the pace of the village.
Rural inn, which is voluntarily simple and functional. ” Casa Mathea ” proposes three formulas of residence with its five apartments :
T2 about 25 m²
Small equipped kitchen, lounge, sanitary facilities and bedroom; accommodation facilities: 4 persons per T2.
T2 about 40 m²
Ground floor: small equipped kitchen, lounge, sanitary; first floor: bedroom in mezzanine; accommodation facilities: 5 persons per T2.
F3 about 70 m²
Two bedrooms, dining room, kitchen, bathroom; accommodation facilities: 5 to 7 persons.
The restaurant
The restaurant offers a home cooking with products of our soil. So, the carpaccio of lonzu in the Corsican tomme cheese, the medallions of pig crowned with goat’s milk cheese and coated with a sauce in figs and in nuts, chicken in the honey of the undergrowth, the tart in apples – sweet chestnuts, tart in the orange, softness in the sweet chestnut finds their place beside more traditional flats such as cannelloni in the brocciu, the tianu of veal, the suppa corsa, the pastizzu and are proposed to the guests in today’s special.
Without forgetting the famous pizzas cooked in the campfire, which will be a treat.
